At the age of 14, I started working with preschoolers in my native country, Mexico. Every Saturday afternoon, my youth group and I would go to catechesis at a barrio outside my home town, Celaya. This was volunteer work that I continued until the age of 18.
I received my bachelor’s degree in early childhood education at the university “Normal Justo Sierra”, where I graduated magna cum laude in 1997. Seeking more knowledge on how to serve the child by respecting the laws of nature, I became a Montessori certified teacher with the international Montessori society. I also hold a certification level I, II and III of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. And, I am a certified child center director through KDHE (Kansas department of health and environment).
